Cromer, Norfolk

Corylus have been successful in securing an allocation for up to 400 dwellings, specialist elderly accommodation and land for sports provision in the submitted North Norfolk Local Plan at land to the West of Pine Tree Farm to the south of Cromer. The Council have identified Cromer as one of the three Growth Towns in the District and work undertaken by Corylus contributed to an increase in the size of the allocation between Regulation 18 and Regulation 19 stages of plan preparation.

Further to Hearing Sessions held during the examination of the Local Plan earlier in 2024 the Inspector has now, July 2024, invited the authority to consider the possibility of additional dwellings at Cromer to assist the authority in meeting a revised housing requirement calculated in accordance with the Standard Method.

Corylus are currently considering options that respond to the Inspector’s request.
