Lowfield Solar Farm

Corylus successfully managed the application process for a new solar farm development on land at Lowfield Farm, Everton Road, Sandy, SG19 2DE. The application was submitted to and approved by Central Bedfordshire Council.
Project Highlights:
Location: Land at Lowfield Farm, Everton Road, Sandy, SG19 2DE.
Capacity: 26MWp
Environmental Impacts: The solar farm is designed to significantly reduce carbon emissions, providing clean and renewable energy to the national grid. Landscape mitigation minimised visual impacts and creates a significant biodiversity net gain.
Our Contributions:
• Planning: Our planning team managed the project from conception to approval, liaising with external consultants, drafting the planning documents and submitting the planning application and liaising with the Council.
• Landscape: Our landscape architects designed a landscape plan and undertook a landscape and visual impact assessment. Careful planting design helped to significantly improve the green connectivity of the site and contribute to biodiversity net gain the site will deliver following construction.
• Hydrology: Our hydrologist provided the flood risk assessment and surface water management plan.
