Farm Buildings Conversion

Corylus has been appointed to prepare a feasibility study for the redevelopment of an agricultural site located in open countryside near a Conservation Area. The study explores the potential conversion of a group of existing agricultural buildings into residential use.
A range of layout options were tested, informed by the existing building footprints and site constraints, while carefully responding to the rural character of the surrounding landscape.
Project Highlights:
· Sensitive design approach reflecting the site’s proximity to Conservation Area and the Grade I listed building.
· Replacement of poor-quality agricultural structures with high quality residential architecture fabric
· Opportunity to introduce biodiversity enhancements and habitat creation
Our contribution:
· Developing concept layout options based on the existing buildings
· Testing a range of dwelling numbers and typologies
· Preparing drawings and visual material for presentation purposes
