Ascott House Solar Farm Planning Appeal

Overview:
Corylus successfully supported Innova Renewable Developments Limited in securing planning consent on appeal for a 49.9MW solar farm on Land east of Aylesbury Road, Ledburn.
The key issues considered during the inquiry included:
• The effects of the proposed development on the character and appearance of the area and on the landscape, scenic and natural beauty of the Chilterns National Landscape.
• Whether the proposed development would preserve the settings of listed buildings, and its effects on other designated and non-designated heritage assets.
The appeal was allowed in December 2025.

· Environmental Impacts: The solar farm is designed to significantly reduce carbon emissions, providing clean and renewable energy to the national grid.
Our contribution:
· The appeal process involved a 2-week public inquiry, to which our Associate Director of Planning, Chris Cox, provided planning evidence.
· Corylus also managed the appeal process, co-ordinating the appeal process and liaising with the Council and Planning Inspectorate.
