1 Introduction

Corylus Planning and Environmental Limited (“Corylus”) is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and our use of your data is governed by this Privacy Policy.

Corylus is a controller for the personal information that it collects and uses about you and this Privacy Policy informs you of the types of data we process about you, the  reasons for processing your data, the lawful basis that permits us to process it, how long we keep your data for and your rights regarding your data.

3 How do we collect your data?

We collect your data from whenever you share it with us, whether that be in correspondence with us, applying for a job vacancy, or signing up to newsletters/marketing etc. This also extends to contacting us directly via our website or social media .

Data is also collected from our website through the use of cookies (see section 8)

4  What data do we collect?

We collect your name and contact details (i.e. phone number, email address and postal address). In addition, if you apply for a job with us, we will also ask for photographic identification and proof of your eligibility to work in the UK.  

We collect information on your use of our website through cookies (see section 8). This includes information on the web browser type and version, a list of URLs starting with a referring site, and your activity whilst on our site.

5  How do we secure your data and for how long?

Corylus stores your data on secure servers managed by a third party. In the unfortunate event of a data security breach, we will notify users whose Personal Identification Information may have been breached.

We will not pass your data onto any third parties unless you request that we do so to enable us to perform services requested by you, subject to the following exceptions:

  • We may share your personal data with other companies in our group, including subsidiaries and/or holding company.
  • If we sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or asses, your personal data may be transferred to a third party. Any new owner of our business may continue to use your personal data in the same way(s) that we have used it, as specified in this Privacy Policy.

We will not sell your data to third parties.

Messages that you send to Corylus by e-mail may not be secure. If you choose to send any messages to Corylus via e-mail, you accept the risk that they may be intercepted, misused, and modified by a third party.

We will only keep your data for as long as it is needed and depending upon the type of service that we are providing for you and taking into account and legal obligations that we have to retain data.

6  How do we use your data?

We use your data for the following reasons:
