Morgan’s Farm

Morgan’s Farm forms part of a larger estate where Morgan’s Farm is no longer the principal farm on the estate. Morgan’s farm comprises Morgan’s Farmhouse a grade 2 listed building with granary and cow byre, Morgan’s farm barn, a traditional stone covered in pan tiles and modern utilitarian agricultural buildings.

Applications at the farm included a full and listed building consent application for internal and external alterations to refurbish the farmhouse, cowshed, convert the granary and provide connectivity by a glazed a new glazed link. A close working relationship with the Council’s Conservation officer was necessary to successfully execute the project, preserving the character and historic features within the dwelling whilst delivering the clients desires.

A further application was made to convert Morgan’s Farm barn, although not listed the barn was considered by the Council to make a positive contribution to the traditional rural character of the area.
