Cavebank Farm

Application for Prior Approval for the erection of a new agricultural barn under Part 6 Class A of the General Permitted Development Order.

Cavebank Farm is a small holding in Gloucestershire comprising 15 hectares of farmland. Operations include grassland management by horse and sheep grazing and arable farming comprising barley, wheat linseed and sprouts. The site is located on high ground in the Cotswolds AONB, overlooking Hidcote Boyce.

The area had been subject to increasing levels of rural crime, targeting machinery and equipment. The farm had limited secure storage for equipment and machinery, much of which was stored outside, vulnerable to theft and corrosion from the elements. An application for a 140sq/m single storey timber clear span trussed portal building with a pitched roof was applied for to supplement the farms needs. Detailed plans were provided by farm building specialist Farmplus and the application coordinated, prepared and submitted by Corylus.
